Culinary Short Course - Pastry & Bakery
8:30am to 12:00pm / 1.00pm to 4.30pm (3 1/2 Hours) (Monday to Saturday) upon request.
The Course is designed to give the participant a good basic knowledge in Local andInternational Cookery.
It comprises of 9 sessions of 3 1/2 hours Demonstration and Practical Cookery sessions guided by our Kitchen Lecturer at our fully equipped Training Kitchen.
The Course content includes basic preparations. Meat & Vegetable Cuts, the applications of the 13 Cooking Methods, You will be shown and thereafter to prepare Meat, Fish, Poultry, Vegetable, Rice, Pasta, Potato dishes and Sauces and present this in an artistic fashion.
The Course is designed to give the participant the fundamental Knowledge and skill in Pastry & Bakery Arts.
It comprises of 9 sessions of 3 1/2 hours Demonstration and Practical cookery sessions guided by our Pastry lecturer at our fully equipped Training Kitchen.
The Course content includes Basic Pastes & Doughs, Bread & Bread products, Pizza, Pastries, Cookies, Cakes, Pies, Flans. You will be shown and thereafter prepare the various products.
Entry Requirements – Fluent in English. – Must be 18 Years of age. – Black Shoes with thick Grip soles. – Have his / her own accident insurance. – Have a dark trouser and a white T- shirt.
The Course Fee is Ksh. 50,000 (9 sessions of 3 1/2 hours) Single day joiners Ksh. 6,200 per session. Application Fee is Ksh. 1,000 – (Non – refundable)
Which includes : – Handouts – Recipes – All Food Materials – Chefs Hat – Top Chef Certificate of attendance. (For full course attendance.) – Top Chefs Certificate of participation. (Min. 3 sessions) The dishes you prepared you can take home.
